Dormlife in other Universities? 1 Year, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Since I am from UW & I've lived in a dorm my first 2 years, I want to know how it is in other places.

1) How big was your dorm room?
2) Did you have your own private bathroom or public bathroom?
3) Did you have a curfew?
4) Close to campus?

As for me,
1) The room was so tiny that we hardly had any room for 3 people.
2) Nasty public bathroom
3) No curfew!
4) I suppose it was.

I wasn't in a dorm myself, but friends were.

1) Single small dorm rooms (but at least some privacy)
2) Public bathroom sharing with 10 or so people
3) 12 am curfew
4) On campus

I was so glad to be in a rented house!

I think that when you have older dorms they are pretty much small and meet what you have experienced. Here where I live the university is building new apartments that are only available to students and cost less than market rent, they will treat them like they do with dorms where you have to be approved but you are able to choose the people you want to live with in a much easier manner.
