Scholarships 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
I just wanted to put a little 'reminder' here for everyone, as I had forgotten this myself being out of school for so long. Scholarships aren't just based on academics. There are scholarships for numerous things, such as volunteering, the type of program you get into, demographics (religious beliefs), what your parents do for a living, etc. I even saw a scholarship for cancer survivors! So just take a look around because a scholarship is a great way to take some of the financial pressure off.

That is correct. There are specific scholarships available depending on those factors you mentioned and so many more that you may not even be able to think of. The best thing to do is after you have chosen your program to speak with the advisory board for that department and see what scholarships they have a available that would meet your need and that you would qualify for.
