I went to gibbs in new york, ny. I graduated with an associate degree in digital film making. I would not recommend this school. They do have top notch professors and answer every question. An update of the course now I believe is over and fired all the professors. The is a high rate of students dropping out. My cost is 38.000 for two years. The hands on experience is awful. Its like apex you keep the equipment when you are done. My shock is my associate degree has no value. The school itself is considered like a joke. So in other words your associate degree in community 4-year college is a real degree and all the 18 months degree schools like chubb, devry, and gibbs are seen like lazy students wanting a shortcut. You only learn the basics, nothing advanced unless you knew about everything asked about it the rest is reading big books. Students that go there act like high school material so don't consider this school a college nobody does its a trade school or vocational. If you know someone who graduated from there give them credit for sticking to the end, You go through hell before leaving. Being in that school is like being alone. Read books, practice, study, and experiment by yourself thats what 2 years is like. My advice go to a 4 year college. The paper has hard work and is respectable to employers while gibbs ass-ociate paper is just a paper with letters on it no respect you might get a laugh or two. If you live in nyc ask anyone. If you are wondering about fun, no nurse on site, no break room, just vending machines, no lounge, no library, barely no internet access, no cafeteria, and the best joke of all you job placement assistance gives you job postings and resume preparations to get jobs in retail like bestbuy, wendy's, old navy, craiglist postings,no real career job positions like an office unless you work at the school licking stamps.
